The definition of post and lintel refers to the use of horizontal beams –lintels- which are borne up by columns. Like everything in the world the post and lintels has their disadvantage; like the medium from the lintel is weakness, and is used to small distance. But has a very important function; with post and lintel can support the weight from a building, can be use to structure, and other function is close spaces with post and lintel. An example from post and lintel can be the Stonehenge.
